This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement relates to actions and activities during the financial year 1 October 2024 to 30 September 2025.
This statement sets out our commitment to preventing slavery and human trafficking in our own business and supply chains, and to acting ethically in all our business relationships.
Organisational structure and supply chains
This statement covers the business activities of Synergy Learning, namely delivering learning technology services to a global customer base.
Services are mainly delivered from Northern Ireland, with additional resources located in Austria, Germany, the UK and Ireland.
We obtain goods and services from the following countries: Australia, Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, UK, Germany, Republic of Ireland, Switzerland, The Netherlands, UAE, USA and Cyprus.
Training
To ensure a good understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains, we require all 1Team to complete an online training course during onboarding.
Everyone has a duty to be alert to risks, however small. You are expected to report any concerns to Management or the People Circle so we can take appropriate action.
Policies
The following policies outline our approach to identifying and addressing risks of modern slavery and trafficking:
Whistle-blowing Policy – Encourages all 1Team, customers and business partners to report concerns related to our operations or supply chains.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Giving Back Policy – Summarises how we manage environmental impact and work responsibly with suppliers and local communities.
Due diligence processes for slavery and human trafficking
We carry out due diligence when taking on new suppliers and regularly review our existing supply base.
Our due diligence process includes:
Building long-standing relationships with suppliers
Making our expectations clear to business partners
Evaluating the slavery and trafficking risks of new suppliers
Applying sanctions, including terminating relationships, where suppliers fail to meet expectations set out in action plans
Monitoring and review
This statement is reviewed annually in September and updated as necessary.
Our Leadership Circle endorses this statement and remains committed to its implementation.
